Winning video of the global open call released as the official music video for “Broken Heart of Gold”
ONE OK ROCK has released the official music video for their new single “Broken Heart of Gold” on the band’s official YouTube channel. The single was released in May and has a lyric video, but no music video was made. The band announced their plan to select one through a public open call and entries started in June with more than 500 received. The number of submissions and quality exceeded expectations and after repeated screenings, the best video has been selected to become the official music video.

The winning video is created by HΛLF TIMΞ FILMS, submitted from Japan. The theme is “Yin and Yang,” expressed through components such as a mask with its reverse side peeled off, usage of water and fire, and extensive lighting techniques. The mask used resembles a traditional Noh mask originally created by craftsman from Hyogo, Japan. The work incorporates Japanese traditional crafts and culture into a contemporary visual expression. After learning their work was chosen, HΛLF TIMΞ FILMS commented, “We are very happy to have been selected for the Grand Prize. Honestly, I still can’t believe it since it was an open call from all over the world. We are very honored to have the opportunity to have our film seen by everyone. We will use this award as an encouragement to continue to work harder on our video production. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone. Thank you very much.”
